Christine McWherter and Jim Wallace of Oak Grove are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married June 13, 1958, at Southwest Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan., and have lived in Oak Grove for more than 38 years.

They will celebrate with a 6 p.m. dinner at Hereford House, followed by a reception in Oak Grove hosted by their daughter, Katrina Wallace-Setoodeh.

Their children are Mike Wallace of Blue Springs, Michelle Wallace of Lee’s Summit, and their youngest, Katrina Wallace-Setoodeh of Blue Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace also have four grandchildren.
