Heavy storms could still roll through the area later tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms are developing in central Kansas and are expected to move east. Thirty-one counties in Kansas – from line from Hiawatha to Topeka to Chanute and west as far as Wichita, Newton and Concordia – are under a tornado watch at this hour, and an area west of Emporia is under a tornado warning, but none of Missouri is under a watch or warning. The storms could move east, but after midnight a cold front is expected to bring clearer skies and an end to the storms.

Wednesday is expecte to be breezy with a high of 58, and Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high of 70.
