  • In her first sit-down interview since completing her court-ordered 90-day stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan told Oprah Winfrey that she's addicted to alcohol and chaos, but is committed to staying on the straight and narrow from here on out.
"I'm my own worst enemy," the actress said on Oprah's Next Chapter Sunday. "There are so many powers greater than me in the world, and I've been blessed and lucky enough to be given a gift to share with other people, and I think for so long I kept that so locked down and chained down, just by creating this whirlwind of garbage around myself."

The recent stay was Lohan's sixth stint in rehab and the first one she took seriously, she told Winfrey. "I don't think in the past I've ever fully surrendered to the fact that I just really need to shut up and listen," she said. "In this case, I wasn't fighting at all. I just let go and was able to just be like, 'OK, you probably do know what's best.'
"The definition of insanity," she quipped. "Doing the same things over and over [and expecting a different result]."

Elsewhere in the interview, Lohan told Winfrey that she's tried cocaine "10 or 15 times" in her life (an amendment to a previous admission that she had only tried it "two or three" times), but that alcohol was her preferred drug of choice. Since getting out of rehab, she said, she's only been taking vitamins and medicine for acid reflux, and claims that she's even given up Adderall.
Of her status as the prime example of a "child star gone wrong," Lohan told Winfrey: "I hate that label and that title. That's not what I ever aspired to be."
Fall TV Preview: Must-watch new shows
Going forward, Lohan tells Winfrey she feels more committed than ever before to getting her life and career back on track. (Her road to recovery, of course, will be the subject of an eight-episode docu-series commissioned by Winfrey herself that will air on OWN next year.)

I've been given a lot of chances, and I'm really lucky to still have the support and someone like you even coming and sitting to do this interview with me. And I'm grateful for it."
