It really happened! 'N Sync reunited at MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday - but it was a blink-and-you-missed it moment.
JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick briefly came out onstage to join their former bandmate Justin Timberlake on an abridged version of "Bye Bye Bye" that was smashed in between a medley of Timberlake's solo hits. After a few choreographed fist pumps, the lowly four were dropped back beneath the stage while Timberlake continued to perform before he accepted the Video Vanguard Award. "Half of the Moon Men I've ever won, I won with those four guys right there," he said, indicating his former bandmates."We can keep [this award] at my house."
Other memorable moments from the night included Lady Gaga opening the show by singing "Applause" - and changing outfits no less than five times in her five-minute performance - as well asMiley Cyrus joining Robin Thicke for a raunchy duet on "Blurred Lines," as well as a minimalist performance from Kanye West.

Page 2 of 3 - On the awards side of things, winners included Selena Gomez for Best Pop Video ("Come and Get It"), Taylor Swift for Best Female Video ("I Knew You Were Trouble"), Bruno Mars for Best Male Video ("Locked Out of Heaven"). Video of the Year went to Timberlake for "Mirrors."
In what may have been the biggest upset of the night, One Direction's "Best Song Ever" beat Thicke's "Blurred Lines" for the Song of the Summer award (and earned the British lads a loud chorus of boos from the audience).
Katy Perry closed out the night with a performance of "Roar" underneath the Brooklyn Bridge.
