Most of Animals Best Friends rescues are dogs. However, they do have a few special cats that are looking for good homes. These cats are mature and laid-back, yet still playful, and they will be wonderful companions for some lucky human.
Flower is a beautiful Tortoiseshell cat who is 4 years old. She loves to receive lots of attention and is very affectionate. She enjoys playing with jingling balls and dangling strings. She did pretty well around small dogs in her foster home. Flower is a bit of a diva and does not like other cats. ABF prefers to place her in a home without other cats.
Max is a handsome, 4-year-old domestic short hair. He has beautiful yellow eyes that really stand out against his shiny, black fur. Max is a sunbather and pretty laid back. He does enjoy his playtime with toys and gets on well with his fellow ABF cats. Max was introduced to a small dog and was friendly and affectionate. ABF prefers to place Max in a home without small children.
If you are looking for a great cat to join your family and think that one of these kids might be a good fit go to our website at www.animalsbestfriends.org and complete an application. ABF does home visits and two week trials to be sure the animal and family are a good fit.
ABF also has foster opportunities for those who just wish to give the animal a good temporary home. Fostering animals helps the animal adapt to a home environment. It is very rewarding to the human and beneficial for the animal.
Animals Best Friends wish list includes: Purina Dog, Puppy, Cat and Kitten chow, dog and cat treats and chews, cow hooves or rawhides, canned dog and cat food, stuffed (no beads) and Kong toys, laundry detergent, bleach, Fantastic spray, Dawn dish liquid, paper towels, newspapers, 39 gallon trash bags, blankets, sheets, cat litter. There is a paper recycling bin in the parking lot at ABF Headquarters, 2302 S. Crysler Ave., Independence. Please, no cardboard or telephone books. We appreciate your support.
