Independence police are seeking information in a drive-by shooting that injured two men Saturday in a residence on South Cunningham Avenue.

A family was asleep in their residence in the 1300 block of South Cunningham Avenue at approximately 2:15 a.m. Saturday when a vehicle drove by and shot at least five rounds into the building. A 41-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were wounded. One was shot in the leg and the other was grazed by a bullet on his stomach.

The men were taken to a local hospital, treated and released, police spokesperson Tom Gentry said.

Gentry said there was no description of the alleged shooters or the vehicle involved in the shooting and there are no suspects at this time.
