  • Alexis Reid was too much for Raytown.
She pitched a six-inning no-hitter with 15 strikeouts as host Blue Springs routed Raytown 10-0 Wednesday. Only one Raytown batter, who twice was hit by a pitch, reached base.
Morgan McMahan singled twice and doubled, and Madison Sykes, Darian Frost and Alexis Koop each singled twice. Koop also had two RBIs.
Blue Springs (6-1) scored all of its runs on a pair of five-run innings in the second and fifth.
LEE’S SUMMIT 1, BLUE SPRINGS SOUTH 0: Lee’s Summit scored the only run it needed in the fourth inning to defeat the Jaguars (4-3, 1-1) in a Suburban Big Six game at Legacy Park.
Lee’s Summit pitcher Emily Robinson threw a one-hitter, allowing only a double to Chelsey Tipton. Megan Schwindler allowed just five hits to suffer the loss.
“We played well defensively but the offense didn’t come through,” South coach Kristi Williams said. “Both pitchers pitched a great game.”
WILLIAM CHRISMAN 11, RAYTOWN SOUTH 5: Chrisman put together one four-run and two three-run innings to claim a non-conference victory over the Cardinals at Adair Park.
Merina Thomas slugged a two-run homer, Jessica Kreissler singled three times and Ravyn Swope singled twice for the Bears (2-5) in support of winning pitcher Emilie Garner.
“We hit the ball well and made the needed plays,” Chrisman coach Lindsey Ramsey said. “It was a good win.”
FORT OSAGE 14, NORTH KANSAS CITY 2: Fort Osage scored 11 runs in the first inning on the way to a rout of North Kansas City Wednesday.
The Indians totaled 15 hits to improve to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the Suburban Middle Six.
Paige Hayden tripled and homered with five RBIs, Katy Divers tripled twice and singled with one RBI and Kelsey McIntyre singled three times with three RBIs to lead the Indians.
Gwinn allowed just five hits and struck out five in the circle.
“Flecia Gwinn pitched a good game,” Fort Osage coach Kelly Sullivan said.
