  • IPD wants help identifying suspects

  • Independence Police are trying to identify two suspects in a recent burglary.
    Police were called to the business, M&L Distribution 10808 E. 23rd St. on a report of a burglary Aug. 23. More than $5,000 worth of cell phones were stolen and the building was damaged.
    Video surveillance captured images of the suspects as well as the suspects’ vehicle, a black 1990s model Nissan Pathfinder SUV, with a red, white and blue front plate decal. 
    Witnesses describe the man as a white male in his 30s, approximately 6-foot tall, 210 pounds wearing a red shirt and red short pants.       
    The other suspect was a white female in her 30s, approximately 5-foot-7, with blond hair, wearing a white shirt, white pants, and dark sunglasses.
