A loss to Omaha (Neb.) Westside ended Fort Osage’s run in the Lincoln (Neb.) Northeast Tournament Saturday.

Fort Osage took a 2-1 lead into the seventh inning, but Westside scored five runs in the top of that inning to claim a 6-2 win over the Indians.

“We played well for six innings,” Indians coach Kelly Sullivan said. “ We need to find a way to play all seven. I have confidence this team will come together and improve on the rest of the season.”

Katy Divers went the distance in the circle, allowing eight hits and six runs, though only three were earned.

Paige Hayden went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Paige James had two hits and a run for Fort Osage (4-7).
