  • Hello my name is Preston and I'm a Schnoodle. That means I'm part poodle and part Schnauzer. I'm only 3 years old. I'm an Animals Best Friends kid and I'm here to tell you that I am looking for my forever home. I'm fairly new to ABF, but have settled in well. I enjoy playing with my ABF brothers and sisters and really like the caregivers and the attention that I get from them.
I also want to remind you about the upcoming Fall Garage Sale that Animals Best Friends is having on Sept. 21 at the National Guard Armory in Independence. Volunteers will be accepting items for the sale at the ABF facility located at 2302 S. Crysler Ave. in Independence from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 19.
If you have items that you no longer need or want, you can donate them to the ABF garage sale and get a tax deduction since Animals Best Friends is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. You will be helping kids like me and helping yourself at tax time.
The actual sale will take place at the Armory gymnasium at 2323 S. Crysler Ave., Independence, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This fall sale is usually extremely huge with a large variety of items ranging from electronics and dishes to furniture and so much more. Please come and donate items for the sale, then come to the sale and see what kind of treasures you can find for yourself.
If you are looking for an adorable little boy to join your family and think I might be a good fit, please go to our website www.animalsbestfriends.org and complete an application. ABF does home visits and two week trials to be sure that the animal and family are a good fit.
Animals Best Friends wish list includes: Purina One Puppy and Dog Chow, Purina Kitten and Cat and Chow, cow hooves or rawhides, canned dog and cat food, peanut butter, stuffed toys (no beads), HE laundry detergent, bleach, bleach spray cleaner, Fantastic spray cleaner, newspapers (without slick ads), paper towels, scoopable cat litter. There is a paper recycling bin in the parking lot at ABF Headquarters, 2302 S. Crysler Ave., Independence. Please, no cardboard or telephone books. We appreciate your support.
