The 18-year-old actress joins an impressive cast including Dominic West (The Wire), Maura Tierney (ER), Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek) and Ruth Wilson (Luther). The Affair tells the story of Noah (West), a New Yorker spending the summer on Long Island with his family who begins an affair with Allison (Wilson)., a woman who works at a pancake house. Allison is married to Cole (Jackson), a tough cowboy who manages a ranch, and Noah is married to Helen (Tierney), his college sweetheart and best friend whose life is turned upside down by Noah's infidelity.

Telles will play 16-year-old Whitney, Noah and Helen's eldest child. Bunheads, which was canceled last month after one season, marked her first television role.

The Affair pilot was written by In Treatment's Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, who will also executive-produce the project with Shameless' Mark Mylod.
