Fort Osage had to settle for second place Saturday in the consolation bracket of the Winnetonka Tournament.

The Indians (4-5-1) split with Summit Christian Academy 16-25, 25-21 and fell to Staley 25-20, 26-24 and Liberty North 25-16, 25-17 in pool play. The Indians rebounded to defeat Winnetonka 23-25, 25-18, 25-17 and Smithville 25-20, 25-20 in the consolation bracket and then fell to Liberty 25-19, 26-24.

“Overall, we had good performances from everybody at some time,” Fort Osage coach Vanessa Jones said. “Someone was always stepping up.”
