Park Hill South had no answer for Paige Parker.
The Truman senior pitched a two-hitter and struck out 19 as the Patriots stopped the host Panthers 7-0 Friday.
Truman improved to 22-3 overall and 8-1 in the conference. A repeat victory over Park Hill South Tuesday clinches at least a tie for the Suburban Middle Six title.
South’s other two outs came on pop-ups to the catcher and shortstop.
Parker also hurt South with the bat. She singled and hit a solo homer with three RBIs. Victoria Morrow singled and hit a solo homer with one RBI.
Parker is 17-1 with 245 strikeouts in 114 innings. She has allowed only 26 hits and five earned runs.
ST. TERESA’S 6, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 3: The Bears suffered a nonconference loss at Adair Park.
Kyana Mason had three hits and Jessica Kreissler added two for Chrisman (6-17).
