The Blue Springs South boys swimming and diving team will now be represented at state in all three relays.
The 200-yard medley relay squad qualified for state as the Jaguars won two of three in a four-team meet Tuesday at the Blue Springs Family YMCA. South fell 185-103 to Park Hill South but defeated Warrensburg 193-58 and O’Hara 203-25.
The medley relay of Ben Morgan, Jack Pluenneke, Connor Gregston and Connor Dillon finished second but finished in a state-cut time of 1 minute, 45.71 seconds.
“We finally got the medley relay qualified, so now we have all three relays in,” Jaguars coach Errich Oberlander said. “It was a fun night as we mixed things up for Senior Night. Jack Pluenneke, Connor Gregston, Stephen Ivey and Connor Dillon all swam the 500 but did not swim it freestyle. Jack and Stephen swam breast, Gregston backstroke and Dillon fly.”
South won two events. Dillon won the 50 freestyle (23.01) and Eric Horn won in diving (214.75).
