The public may want to know the dirty details about Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's breakup, but the pop singer is very ready to move on. "I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do," Cyrus told Ellen DeGeneres Friday on her talk show. "I just believe when a chapter is done, you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now."
But Cyrus admitted that the timing of her much buzzed about new album, Bangerz, and her split from Hemsworth could have been better. "I felt like people have really focused on my music right now when I've needed them to ... that's the only thing I worried about. I didn't want it to make me sacrifice what I've been working for, for just the attention to be on [my breakup]," she said.

For those still wanting to know more about the end of her engagement, however, Cyrus said Bangerz offers an accurate reflection of the trajectory of their relationship. "Starting with 'Adore You' and ending with 'Someone Else,' I feel like you can really find like this arc of growth," Cyrus said. "This really is like telling a story. I think I knew more intuitively where my life was going than I actually thought I did at the time."
After joking about giving DeGeneres her money back for the engagement party the talk show host threw for her on the show in November 2012, Cyrus made it clear she won't be celebrating any similar relationship milestones anytime soon. "I want to be really clear and determined with everything I'm doing in my life right now ... I am genuinely happy, finally with myself," she said. "I think it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are."
TMI! Celebrities who overshare Cyrus elaborated that she has little time for boys with such a hectic schedule. "I've never just been able to be alone, and I'm obsessed with being alone and hearing my thoughts," she said. "I'm trying to take this alone time - the five minutes I do have a day - to learn as much as I can."
