  • High school students interested in a career in criminal justice could qualify for a $1,000 scholarship.
    The John Dennis Scholarship will be awarded by the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association to 16 college-bound seniors in Missouri high schools. The students must attend a Missouri college or university.
    Applicants must be in good standing with their school, have a good reference from their school counselor, demonstrate financial need, have a 2.0 GPA or greater, and be active in extra-curricular activities.
    Applicants must attach a paragraph detailing their goals for 10 years after their high school graduation.
