In the wake of congressional approval of the shutdown deal, President Obama said this:
“All of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists and the bloggers and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict and focus what the majority of Americans sent us here to do….”
That’s good advice, of course, but let’s not paint with too broad a brush. When the president warned against “focusing” on bloggers, he was talking about bad bloggers — y’know, the kind who peddle right-wing nonsense.
