  • A Kansas City teenager faces charges as an adult in an armed robbery last Thursday in Raytown.
Brian A. King, 17, of Kansas City, was charged with first-degree robbery Tuesday in Jackson County court.
King and another juvenile suspect allegedly stole a man’s wallet with what appeared to be a gun after the two suspects had given the victim a ride to his place of employment on East Missouri 350.
The victim told police the suspects used his cell phone to call a woman they were going to visit at Brittany Place Apartments in Raytown afterward. Police found the vehicle, a silver Dodge Stratus that had been reported stolen earlier Thursday, at the apartment complex, and then arrested King and the juvenile suspect. The two suspects were found with $62 combined, and the wallet was found discarded a few blocks from the site of the robbery.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000 at 10 percent.
