  • The Independence Police Department and the United States Marshals Service are attempting to locate a missing mother and son on what they believe is a child abduction.
The mother, Rebecka Olah, 44, is a white female, 5-foot-8, 125 pounds. She has blond hair and brown eyes, and her son, Noah Olah, 8, had brown hair and freckles.
Rebecka took custody of Noah on or about July 12, 2013, for parent visitation and failed to return the boy to his father as per the court-ordered custodial arrangement.
A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Rebecka for child abduction. Police said the child is not thought to be in any immediate danger.
Both Rebecka and Noah are believed to be in Kansas City area, most likely in the northland area of Liberty or Smithville.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either person should contact Independence Police at 816-325-7300, the United States Marshals Service at 816-918-5026, or the TIPS hotline at 816-474-8477.
