I made application for the Affordable Care Act coverage on Nov. 1. Not being computer literate, this was done by phone.
I called the 24/7 phone number, 800-318-2596, for service. A short minute or two later I was talking to agent Keneshia. She was very helpful in obtaining information required for coverage. Admittedly I was slow in my responses, also her computer program was slow. Therefore the time to enroll was about an hour.
I will receive detailed plans offered to me by mail, from which I will select the one I deem best in my case. Then I will mail a check for the selected plan by Dec. 15 to start the coverage by Jan. 1.
This process was satisfactorily completed with ease.
