ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Stefan St. Louis scored in overtime to lift the Missouri Comets to their second straight victory over the St. Louis Ambush Friday night.
St. Louis’ goal boosted the Comets to a 12-10 overtime over the Ambush, whom the Comets beat by 21 points last Saturday.
After being shut out in the first period, goals by Coady Andrews, Bryan Perez and Vahid Assadpour gave the Comets a 6-0 halftime lead.
Leo Gibson scored just 52 seconds into the third quarter but St. Louis countered with four of the next five goals. Only a Byron Alvarez goal at the 9:42 mark of the third.
Daniel Antoniuk’s goal at the 3:52 mark of the fourth sent it into overtime.
The Comets improved to 2-1. They return to action on Dec. 13 at the Independence Events Center against the Milwaukee Wave.
