Instead of a regular 22-episode season, only 19 episodes of the Seth MacFarlane-produced comedy will now be produced for Season 1.
Although Fox ordered nine more episodes of the critically panned freshman series in October, Dads is one of two shows that will be going on an extended hiatus later this season.

In February, Glee is moving from Thursdays to Tuesdays and will then be followed by New Girl at 9/8c and Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 9:30/8:30c, subsequently leaving Dads as well as The Mindy Project off the schedule.
It is unknown yet when Dads, which stars Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi, will return after Feb. 11. The most recent new episode of the show grabbed 3.3 million viewers and a 1.4 demo rating.
