The Truman and William Chrisman girls swimming and diving teams each claimed one top-10 finish in Saturday’s Winnetonka Invitational.
The Patriots finished 14th in the team standings with 33 points, while Chrisman finished 17th with 25.5 at Gladstone Community Center. Oak Park claimed the title with a 289 total, edging Lee’s Summit’s 256.5. Raytown (78) was 12th and Raytown South (44) 13th.
Allison Timko led Truman, taking 10th in the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 24.62 seconds, and taking 13th in the 500 freestyle (6:43.95).
Lexi Parsons earned Chrisman’s lone top 10 finish, tying for 10th in the 50 freestyle in 28.20 seconds. She also finished 14th in the 100 freestyle (1:05.31).
Georgia Gettys took second in 100 butterfly (1:04.36) and Katie Gray was third in 200 IM (2:32.21) to lead Lee’s Summit. Maggie Farrand’s eighth place in the 200 free led Raytown, and Brianna Boos took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.12) to pace Ray-South.
