Christmas is just around the corner - and will be over before you know it - so the city of Blue Springs is offering a solution for what you can do with your Christmas tree after the holidays.

From Dec. 26 through Jan. 19, Christmas trees can be dropped off at Pink Hill Park at 2715 N.W. Park Drive in Blue Springs.

This environmentally friendly way to dispose your tree is free of charge, but commercial vendors may also participate for a fee. Blue Springs Communications Manager Kim Nakahodo asks people participating in the Christmas tree drop-off to please remember to remove all ornaments, lights and tinsel before using the service.

For more information about the Christmas tree service, contact Blue Springs Parks and Recreation at 816-228-0137.
