  • Vehicle collision injures 4, including juvenile

  • A vehicle collision hurt four people – including one who was LifeFlighted to a hospital – in northeastern Independence Thursday evening.
    Independence Police Public Information Officer Tom Gentry said a crash involving two vehicles happened at the intersection of Kentucky Road and Missouri 291 around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
    Four people in the two vehicles were injured, including one juvenile who was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital by LifeFlight. Gentry said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
    He said the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
