To my sons and others of your generation,
You will grow up reading about the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in your history books.
You will visit museums where “whites only” signs will hang behind glass, where you watch grainy footage of crosses being burned in yards.
But sons, please don’t make the mistake of assuming this is ancient history.
Not all things that are housed in museums are old or far removed from today.
