The Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity Concert will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday.

Several vocal choirs from six Independence churches will perform at Beacon Heights Community of Christ Church at 19402 Holke Road in Independence.

There is no admission fee, however, donations will be collected during the concert. The concert is expected to be 90 minutes long and refreshments will be served afterward. Child care will also be provided in order for the adults to enjoy the music.

The concert, now in its 15th year, is one of the largest fundraising events for Truman Heritage Habitat, raising thousands of dollars in the evening. Organizers ask concertgoers to think in terms of building materials when donating, such as $80 for a window, $40 for a box of roof shingles or $15 for a box of nails. But donations of any amount will be appreciated.

All donations to Truman Heritage Habitat are tax-deductible. For more information about the event, contact Habitat at 816-461-6551.
