Blue Springs Superintendent Paul Kinder announced on Tuesday that he will be retiring at the end of the 2013-14 school year.
He has been superintendent of the Blue Springs School District for 14 years, Blue Springs Communication Specialist Cara Anger said in a news release.
According to the district, Kinder has been in the education field for a total of 37 years, with 27 of them in the Blue Springs district.
He was named the Missouri Association of School Administrators’s Outstanding Superintendent of the Year in 2007 and took on other leadership roles besides the Blue Springs district. Some of them include President of the Board of Directors of the Missouri High School Activities Association, President of the Greater Kansas City Cooperating School Districts and President of MASA.
“Dr. Kinder’s vision and leadership had led the district to some of the highest student test scores in the state,” Anger said in the release.
