The Missouri Mavericks will be without Andrew Courtney Friday.

The Central Hockey League suspended the veteran forward on Tuesday for a pair of games. Because he sat out Sunday’s 3-0 road loss to the Wichita Thunder, Courtney will have to sit out just one more game.

Courtney will miss Friday’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Allen Americans in Allen, Texas, but will return to action for the Mavericks’ 7:05 p.m. home game Saturday against Allen and Sunday’s 4:05 p.m. game against the Quad City Mallards at the Independence Events Center.

Courtney was suspended for a boarding major penalty in the first period of last Saturday’s win over Allen at the IEC.

Allen’s Ross Rouleau was suspended for one game for an illegal check to the head in the second period against the Mavericks last Saturday. He will miss Allen’s home game Thursday against Arizona.
