The city of Grain Valley continues its comprehensive plan update this week with an open house that residents are encouraged to attend.
It’s at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 in the gym at Sni-A-Bar Elementary, 701 S.W. Eagles Parkway.
Residents can review alternatives for future development, parks, transportation and other issues. The city is developing a plan meant to guide it on those issues over the next few decades.
City officials have put out the call – often and loudly – for people to attend. There will be pizza, child care for toddlers, and activities for kids. Each household represented at the meeting gets a $20 credit on its water bill.
“We really want to get a better turnout” than at the first meeting several weeks ago, said Assistant City Administrator Ryan Hunt.
