  • Xceligent hiring event
    Xceligent, a commercial real estate information company based in Blue Springs, is having a workforce hiring event this evening.
    The company will be recruiting entry level Commercial Research Associates from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 105 Southeast Magellan Drive in Blue Springs, across from the Blue Springs Public Works facility. The event will consist of an overview about the company, followed by interviews.

    Athlete fundraiser March 8
    A spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser will be held for Kyana ‘Kiki’ Mason at 6 p.m. March 8 at the Church of Christ, 200 S. River Blvd., Independence.
    Olympic Gold Medalist Christie Ambrosi has invited Kyana to play for America’s Team and travel to Italy to play softball this summer as a youth ambassador for the United States. The recommendations for this honor are based on her integrity, character and overall athletic ability. She must raise funds or receive donations or sponsors to maintain compliance with NCAA and NAIA eligibility requirements.
    About Kyana: She holds a 4.0 GPA at William Chrisman High School; has received the Top Gun Scholarship; is an academic all state; helps with youths that have special needs; tutors other students; has participated in the Jackson County Youth Court; put together a Back Pack Drive for the Independence School District; has received honors from softball and track; and after high school, will be playing for Missouri State, which she has verbally committed to. The cost for this event is $10 per person.
