  • Hello! I’m Oliver and I’m an Animals Best Friends kid. Spring is coming soon and that means it’s time for the Animals Best Friends Spring Garage Sale. This popular fundraiser will benefit ABF kids like me. The garage sale is scheduled for March 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Guard Armory building, 2323 S. Crysler Ave. in Independence. This huge sale will have so many items that there is usually something there for everyone.
This also means that it is time for you all to go through your attics, basements and garages to clean out all the items that you no longer need or use. You can box these items up and donate them to ABF for the sale. Not only are you donating to a good cause, but you are getting a tax deduction and cleaning your house out at the same time!
ABF volunteers will be accepting items between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. March 27 at the at National Guard Armory. We do ask that you please do not donate clothing.
Now a bit about me; I’m a shepherd mix and will be 1 year old in March! I’m handsome and a good-natured boy and I would love to have a family of my very own. I walk well on a leash and am kennel trained. I have had some housetraining so I understand the whole “indoor outdoor” potty thing. My caregivers say that I’m well-behaved too.
So please support ABF by donating to our garage sale and attending the big sale to find new and different treasures. The ABF kids and I appreciate all your support and so do the volunteers!
And if you are looking for a wonderful, handsome boy to join your family and think I might be a good fit, please go to our website at www.animalsbestfriends.org and complete an application. ABF does home visits and two week trials to be sure that the animal and family are a good fit.
