• Robbery suspect has distinctive tatoo

  • Independence police are asking for help in identifying a robbery suspect.
    A white man robbed the CVS Pharmacy at 1315 W. 23rd St. in Independence on Feb. 14.
    He is described by police as being approximately 5-foot-10 and 225 to 250 pounds. He has a tattoo of a cartoon-like baby on his chest with the word “Lucas” above it.
    He was wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a camouflage-colored hat and white tennis shoes at the time of the robbery.
    Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect to call the Independence Police Department at 816-325-7300 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
