  • Software steers kids to reading

  • An Indianapolis company today will show its software designed to encourage children to pursue their interests and read more.
    The event, part of the “Banish Boredom Tour, is from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the North Independence branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library, 317 West U.S. 24.
    The company, Evanced Solutions, has software called Wandoo Planet that asks children about their interests and then suggests books they might like to read. The company likens it to Netflex for kids, with books. There also will be games such as Foggy Phonics and a visit from Winston the owl.
    The company is touring schools, libraries and reading festivals in 25 states.
