    To the editor:
It would be an honor to have the opportunity to continue my service to the community, students and staff of Independence by being re-elected to the Board of Education. I ask for your consideration as you vote on April 8.
I moved to Independence in 1986 where I met and later married my husband, Jared Fears. We have made our home and raised our three children here. In 2005, I became a founding partner of a CPA practice in Independence. We are proud to be a part of this community!
Four years ago I ran for the school board because I wanted to give back to our community and especially to do what’s RIGHT4KIDS. I think I’ve made a start on that goal, but there is always more to be done. I continue to believe the heart of community growth and development is based in the strength of its schools. Independence topped 14,000 students this past fall, I believe this is a testament to the fact that providing quality education is indeed a way to grow a community.
I feel I have the commitment, dedication and unique qualifications to be of service to the district. Please visit my website at www.RIGHT4KIDS.com to learn more about me.
