    To the editor:
I live in Blue Springs, but have known Independence Council Member Roxann Thorley for many years, both personally and professionally. It seems that Roxann has never strayed too far from her roots as a small-town farm girl from Lafayette County.
As a council member, Roxann has worked tirelessly and has been a great listener. I believe her professional experience has benefited her well in working with the public and constituents. And she seems to always to have a smile and a friendly handshake.
On a personal level, Roxann has been an excellent mother and grandmother for her family. Like many professional women, she has successfully juggled both the parenting role and the working world. And, there’s no doubt in my mind she will continue to be a terrific council member for Independence.
Please consider your vote for Roxann on April 8.
