Lee’s Summit North High School girls soccer coach Ryan Kelley will take over the boys program in the fall.

Kelley will replace Tim Richardson, the longtime Broncos coach who is retiring from coaching and teaching at the end of the school year. Kelley is in his second season as the Broncos girls coach after replacing Richardson in that post as well.

"We are excited to have Ryan leading our boys program,” Lee’s Summit North activities director Mike McGurk said in a press release. “He knows the players and will provide us some consistency during this transition. He is a hard worker and is ready and willing to lead both of our varsity soccer programs. We were fortunate to hire Ryan."

Kelley, who also teaches physical education at North, has served as a coach on the North staff for 12 years, working up from C team coach to junior varsity coach to varsity assistant under Richardson for the last three seasons. He took over as the girls coach for the 2013 season.
