Blue Springs South’s Kyle Barbee tied for medalist honors with a 1-over-par 37, but Pembroke Hill’s Charlie Hamilton had stronger backing Wednesday in a three-team match at Lakewood Oaks Golf Club.

Pembroke Hill totaled 156 to best South (164) and Blue Springs (174).

“We were glad to get the match in because of the weather,” South coach Ted Linke said. “We’re still learning. It’s the first time for all these boys to be playing varsity events. As long as we can take something positive from each match, that’s where we’re at.”

Trevor Palmer (41), Ryan Drake (42) and Bryan Hanneman (44) rounded out the scoring for the Jaguars, and Jack Steinbeck (45) and Colin Montgomery (48) also played.

Steven Shaw’s 42 led Blue Springs, follow by Jackson Koenig (43), Brian Armstrong (44), Caleb Hillen (45), Taylor Muller (47) and Devon Hyman (51).
