Church Women United of Independence will meet at 10 a.m. April 7 at Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church, 1800 S. Northern Blvd., in the Englewood area of Independence. Entrance to the church is at the back door off the parking lot.
The program will be celebrating "Streams in the Desert" and the guest speaker will be Doris Foley, who will talk about her travels to Egypt. Refreshments will be served following the program. The meeting is open to all church women and every church is invited to send at least one participant.
