The William Chrisman girls soccer team scored four unassisted goals for a non-conference win Thursday.

Allyssa Kyle tallied two of those goals as the Bears scored three in the second half to down host Grandview 4-1 to improve to 3-2 overall.

“The girls did a nice job of being patient on the attack,” Chrisman coach John Straub said.

Maggie Beem and Makenzie Erikson scored the other two goals.

HARRISONVILLE 2, TRUMAN 0: A goal in each half was enough for host Harrisonville to post a shutout victory over Truman Thursday.

“Tonight was not a good game for us from the beginning,” Truman coach Jared Byrne said. “We came out flat and didn’t maintain any type of possession.”

Truman (1-2) didn’t manage a shot on goal as Harrisonville improved to 4-1-1.

BLUE SPRINGS 3, RAYMORE-PECULIAR 2: Gabi Severns scored a pair of goals to lift Blue Springs to a victory in its Suburban Big Six opener Wednesday.

Morgan Hensley tallied the other goal as the Wildcats improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

PLEASANT HILL 1, VAN HORN 0: One goal was enough for host Pleasant Hill to defeat Van Horn Friday in the third-place game of Summit Christian Academy’s SCA Cup tournament. The loss dropped the Falcons to 2-5.

“We played well on defense but they got a low shot into the corner in the first half,” Van Horn coach Matt Tracy said. “We had more opportunities in the second half but failed to score.”
