The 19th annual Have A Heart for Hope House Jazz and Blues benefit concert will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. April 13 at BB’s Lawnside Bar-B-Q, 1205 E. 85th St., Kansas City.
This event, hosted by Diana “Mama” Ray & The Allen Monroe Quartet, will feature some of the best local jazz and blues music around including Mama Ray & The Allen Monroe Quartet, Mark Valentine & The Ticklers, Brian Ruskin & Friends, Funk Syndicate, Kathleen & The One Night Stand Band, Everette De Van Quartet, and The Old Crows. There will be additional special guests joining in, plus there will be a live auction between bands.
Event proceeds will support Hope House’s daily operations, which include tens of thousands of interventions to more than 4,200 adult and child domestic violence survivors each year.
