The Fort Osage girls soccer team continues to play well.

Zoe Bedsworth scored three goals as the Indians remained undefeated in Suburban Middle Seven play with a 6-0 victory over visiting North Kansas City Thursday night.

Leigh-Anne Bartlett added two goals and Emily Jungmeyer had one for Fort Osage (6-1, 4-0), which posted its fifth consecutive victory.

“We played well,” Fort Osage coach Andrew Fletcher said. “We created a lot of chances.”

WILLIAM CHRISMAN 3, OAK PARK 2: Host William Chrisman outscored Oak Park 5-4 on penalty kicks to post the Suburban Middle Seven victory and end a three-game losing streak.

“I was very proud of how hard the girls competed today,” Chrisman coach John Straub said.

Maggie Beem and Makenzie Erikson scored the goals in regulation time for Chrisman (4-3, 1-2).

The junior varsity teams played to a 2-2 tie.

TRUMAN 1, PEMBROKE HILL 1: Truman played its second consecutive 1-1 tie in the Kansas City Classic tournament Thursday at Pembroke Hill.

Kylie Waterworth assisted on Sonya McCaslin’s goal late in the first half for the only score for Truman (1-3-2).

“It took us a while to figure out how to attack, but once we did, we had plenty of chances,” Truman coach Jared Byrne said. “We are continuing to improve individually and as a team.”

Truman meets St. Pius X at 6:30 tonight in its final tourney game in the round-robin event.
