Four singles victories helped elevate the Truman boys tennis team to a 5-4 win over Oak Park Thursday at Santa Fe Trail Park.
Singles winners for Truman were Jake Hayward (10-6), Jared Welch (10-6), Jewlian Cordry (10-0) and Lorenzo Dorman (10-7). Nick Wagner and Dorman prevailed in doubles 10-2 to give the Patriots the decisive point over the Northmen.
“This was the best we have played this season by far,” Truman coach Willis Blinzler said. “Everyone was able to consistently stay in points and be patient and wait for their shot. I was really impressed by the attitude of my players despite this being their third match in four nights.”
