The Kansas City Southern railroad says crossing work on Woods Chapel Road should take about two days.
That will close a significant stretch of the busy road, starting Monday. The tracks cross the road just north of Lake Tapawingo.
The railroad is installing a wider crossing surface to accommodate the widening of Woods Chapel Road.
Northbound drivers will be detoured east onto Walnut Street, north on to 15th Street, west on to the South Outer Road and back to Woods Chapel Road. Southbound Woods Chapel Road traffic will be detoured on that same path in the other direction.
