  • The Kansas City Zoo has several overnight programs available.
    Polar Bear PJ Party: What does it take to survive in the Arctic? Spend the night with Nikita and Berlin and find out what hardships they face, as well as us if we would ever venture to the snowy north. The cost is $30 per person, with Friends of the Zoo members receiving a 10 percent discount. Minimum age is 6 years old.
    Penguin Pole-looza: Want to beat the cold. Learn how the penguins do it. Enjoy an evening of hands-on activities in the new Helzberg Penguin Plaza. The cost is $40 per person, with Friends of the Zoo members receiving a 10 percent discount. Minimum age is 6 years old.
    Nocturnal Safari: Spend a wild night camping in Africa. Explore the ultimate nocturnal adventure. All campers need to bring their own tents, sleeping bags and flashlights. The overnight includes a guided tour, activities, an animal encounter and s'mores. You'll be able to walk about when the rest of the Zoo is closed to see who is awake. In the morning, enjoy a continental breakfast in the chimp classroom. The cost is $35 per person, with Friends of the Zoo members receiving a 10 percent discount. Minimum age is 6 years old.
