  • Power & Light District hosts benefit for Type I Diabetes Research

  • The 14th Street Wine Walk takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. April 26. Guests can listen to live music and enjoy wine tastings and small plates from seven participating venues while exploring Kansas City's Power & Light District.
    Participating venues include Bar Louie, Bristol Seafood Grill, Drunken Fish Sushi Restaurant, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Garment District Boutique, Maker's Mark Bourbon House & Lounge and The Kill Devil Club.
    There are two levels of tickets, including general admission and VIP. All ticket proceeds benefit the Young Leadership Committee of JDRF, the leading charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 Diabetes research worldwide. Tickets include a Souvenir tasting glass, wine tastings and hors d'oeuvres at each participating venue and a glass of wine at one participating venue at the conclusion of the walk.
