Bridger student is finalist in pageant
Lillian Ridge, 14, the daughter of Season Ridge, is a state finalist in the National American Miss Missouri Pageant to be held June 28 at the Holiday Inn Select in Columbia.
The National American Miss pageants are for girls ages 4 to 18, in five age divisions. Lillian will participate in the Junior Teen division. The program is based on inner-beauty, as well as poise and presentation.
The winner receives a $1,000 cash award, crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California.
Lillian is in the Select Choir at Bridger Middle School in Independence and plays basketball. She enjoys Native American crafts, cooking and helping the community with school supplies by raising funds through bake sales and car washes. She also donates her time for youth projects with the Y.P.C.W.
