  • Combining creative musical performance and art, Farm to Market’s “Hearth” art event space will host two local artists at their “Follies of Duplicative Infrastructures” from 6 to 9 p.m. May 9 at the “Hearth” art gallery, located in front of the Farm to Market Bread Co. Bakery, 100 E. 20th St., Kansas City.
Lauren Sobchak is a welder and weaver and work ranges from woven structures to carefully placed metal objects that focus on re-purposing things once discarded and the use and non-use of machines. Teri Quinn is both a musician of many instruments and composer who specializes in what she describes as "rock clarinet".
This event is free and open to the public. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered. For more information on Farm to Market Bread Co., visit www.farmtomarketbread.com.
