Blue Springs twin defensive linemen Carlos and Khalil Davis are among five senior-to-be Missouri high school football players who have been nominated to play in next January’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The Davis brothers, who have verbally committed to the University of Nebraska and who both received all-state honors in helping Blue Springs to back-to-back Class 6 state titles, are part of a pool of 400 nominees from which 90 players will be selected. They are also among the state’s top throwers in track and field.

Other nominees from Missouri include Lee’s Summit quarterback and Missouri commit Drew Lock, Columbia Rock Bridge receiver Alex Ofodile and Jefferson City Helias Catholic tight end Hale Hentges.
