John Knox Village opened the Village Assisted Living on June 12 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new living center is located at 1701 N.W. O’Brien Road in Lee’s Summit.

The new community will include 25 new private apartments for those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. Highlights of the new building include a grand foyer, spacious common areas, a beautiful 500 gallon aquarium and large apartments.

Village Assisted Living offers 24-hour nursing care that includes medication management, structured programs that are specifically tailored for those with Alzheimer’s disease along with trained caring staff who focus on providing the comfortable, calming atmosphere those with the beginning stages of dementia need. Village Assisted Living consists of three distinct neighborhoods at the Village, providing a total of 58 private apartments.
